Truong Thi Lam, 29, said she did not remember the taxi number or the license plate. But based on her information, security officers have checked camera footage and identified the cab driver.
Do Tien Loi of Dai Nam Taxi confirmed that he had found the watch and asked the officers to help return it to Lam.
The passenger said she had bought the watch for VND254 million (US$11,170).
The airport said it has found and returned lost articles to many passengers thanks to surveillance cameras this year.
Last month, they returned a handbag to passenger Tran Thi Hoang Yen, who had left it in a waiting room.
There were more than VND80 million, a saving book with a value of VND100 million and other items in the bag.
