Customs officers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City said they seized US$114,100 in cash from a Nigerian woman passenger who had been carrying it undeclared last week.
On August 28 Raliat Temitope Fusigboye got off a plane arriving from Dubai and declared at customs that she had $120,000.
But when officers checked it, they found she actually had $239,100.
A passenger is allowed to bring in a maximum of $5,000 without declaration.
The officials confiscated the excess amount.
On August 10 another Nigerian was arrested at Tan Son Nhat for carrying 590 grams of methamphetamine in his luggage.
Ezechukwu Emeka Celestine, 33, had arrived from Doha, Qatar.
He was handed over to the police.
