Police in north central Vietnam on Thursday arrested a man who attacked a family in the northern province of Thanh Hoa, killing a husband and severely injuring the wife and son.
Le Thanh Hai, 41, was arrested in a hotel in Ha Tinh Province.
Investigations show that on May 18, Hai broke into the house of a family in the province and killed Do Phat Lai, 48, by stabbing him several times with a knife. The man's wife Le Thi Cuc, 47, and his 17-year-old son Do Phat Dung were also attacked and severely injured.
Hai and Lai were both dealers in crabs and worms used to make some fermented dishes in the province. They had been fighting over the supplies, police said.
