The Ministry of Transport Wednesday said they will carry out checks on 11 taxi companies that operate at the Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, the Tuoi Tre newspaper reports.
The report said the inspection is scheduled for December 16-22 and would target firms like Airport taxi, Sai Gon Tour taxi and Happy taxi.
It quoted the ministry as saying that inspectors will focus on the quality of services and vehicles.
Meanwhile, the companies have been ordered to report on measures they have taken to deal with the violations committed by their drivers at the airport.
A report on the VnExpress newswire Thursday said the ministry will also inspect the taxi services of the Southern Airports Corporation and the Tan Son Nhat Terminal Operation Company.
After its latest inspection of nine taxi companies in the city, the ministry suspended two of them for violations related to vehicles, parking lots, and driver management, the newswire reported.
