A Party unit in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang has proposed dismissing a commune Party secretary for violating the Party ethics code, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.

The My Phuoc Commune Party Committee has asked the Soc Trang Province Party Committee to remove Ho Ngoc Chinh, secretary of the My Phuoc Commune Party Committee, from his post.

Chinh was accused of intending to seduce another man's wife.

Dong Van Mat, Chinh's relative, sent a complaint against Chinh to the Party unit, saying he invited Chinh to his house on the afternoon of November 14.

After they drank until 8 p.m., Chinh slept over in the house.

At midnight, Nguyen Thi Nhi, Mat's wife, screamed and turned on the light to show family members that Chinh had snuck under her mosquito net.

Chinh justified his actions by saying he was drunk and accidentally went under the net.
