A senior judge in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang faces dismissal after being caught sharing a hammock with a married woman subordinate, VnExpress reported.
Huynh Hong Thang, deputy presiding judge of the Soc Trang City People's Court, was Thursday expelled from the court's Party unit for violating the code of ethics Party members should follow.
Thang was caught red-handed with Nguyen Thi Thu in an unlit tent at a local garden café on November 2 by Thu's husband Nguyen Van Giau.
Giau took a photo of the two and sent it along with a letter of complaint to the court claiming his wife had become indifferent to him for the last year after going on business trips with Thang.
The couple have been fighting after Thang began to call Thu's mobile phone, prompting Giau to snoop on them until he finally managed to catch them at the café.
The city Party Committee launched an investigation and decided Thang was guilty.
Nguyen Thanh Binh, the committee's deputy secretary, said the Soc Trang court would be asked to recommend Thang's dismissal to the Supreme People's Court in the next few days.
