Police in the southern province of Binh Duong Tuesday seized a gun a man allegedly used to fire two shots in the air after causing a traffic accident.

Nguyen Quang Phuc, 53, a member of a security team at a local hamlet, crashed his car into a taxi and tried to flee to avoid possible confrontation with traffic police.

The taxi driver called various people, including his employer Thang Loi Company, for assistance to stop Phuc's car. A relative of his pulled up his motorbike in front of the car, but was flung aside.

When Phuc was finally forced to stop after several company taxis intercepted him, he got out, pulled a gun, and fired it. Traffic police officers had to step in to end the tension.
