A man in Hanoi has been fined VND900,000 (US$40) for letting his 6-year-old son ride a motorbike last weekend.
Police summoned the father, Van Trong Tue, Wednesday after a video was posted on Facebook, showing him sitting on a motorbike, with a little boy holding the handle bar.
Tue said he was driving his son on To Huu Street in Nam Tu Liem District last Sunday morning. When the street was empty, he decided to let the boy ride the bike for around 100 meters.
Motorbike driving age in Vietnam is 18. Owners can be fined up to VND2 million for leaving their vehicles to an underage person.
