Police in the northern city of Hai Phong have arrested a man for planting cannabis and selling weed from his home.
They raided the house of Do Hai Nam, 38, Wednesday night and caught him selling marijuana to a local man and planning to organize a smoking session there.
The third and fourth floors of the house had been turned into a weed farm with cannabis planted in pots and light bulbs on the ceiling to stimulate the plants' growth, the police said.
The windows were all closed.
Nam said he had learned how to grow cannabis online and made one harvest already.
Officers seized around five grams of meth, 23 marijuana plants, some dried weed, marijuana seeds, and a bag of fresh marijuana leaves.
They also found equipment for processing the plant and using meth.
Marijuana is illegal in Vietnam and the planting of it is punishable by up to seven years.
