A garments shop owner in the Mekong Delta's Soc Trang Province was stabbed to death on Thursday (December 30) by irate neighbors for playing loud music, VnExpress reported.
Dao Van Hai, 53, was offering a big year-end sale and was playing very loud music. The neighboring family which has senior citizens, asked Hai to turn the music down. The disagreement led to a fight with iron bars.
Hai was stabbed to death with a butcher's knife by some person from the neighboring house while two people from the house were hospitalized with stab injuries caused by Hai's son.
Soc Trang deputy police chief Nguyen Viet Thanh said three people involved in the fight Quy and Quan from Hai's side and Vo Cong Thanh from the other house have been detained for investigation.
