A new building at the Khai Tri Orphanage in An Giang Province opened its doors for male orphans April 6. The new wing was inaugurated by Najeeb Al-Bader, consul general of the State of Kuwait in Ho Chi Minh City.
The new block with six big rooms has been funded by the Kuwait government, the second such project financed by them in An Giang Province.
"The initiative of the State of Kuwait to fund construction of the building reflects its humanitarian contiguity with people of the world, provides care for orphans, and assures the right to education and knowledge for all at this center, which includes more than 150 orphans," said Najeeb Al-Bader at the opening ceremony.
"I congratulate everyone on the timely completion of the hostel. Its prompt construction and operation will help children at the center and alleviate their mental and physical suffering. It is all thanks to the deep consideration and attention of H.E. Consul General," said Lam Minh Chieu, chairman of the People's Committee in An Giang Province.
