Police in the central resort town Nha Trang on Monday arrested two bag snatchers who slashed a cop’s wrist early this month.
During their arrest, a cache of weapons and women's bags was recovered from the home of Tran Quy Nhuan, 21, and Tran Tuan Vinh, 17.
The pair attacked Lieutenant Nguyen The Thinh of the town’s 113 Police Unit, on the night of September 4 after Thinh began pursuing them on his motorbike upon hearing their victim's scream.
When Thinh attempted to kick over the duo’s motorbike, they lashed out with a blade and severed the tendon in his wrist.
The duo's weapons cache included swords, knives, a stun gun and body armor.
They admitted to having snatched bags from many tourists in Nha Trang.
