A deputy general director of a Japanese company based in Da Nang City was killed in a traffic accident on the last day of 2014.
According to a report on the Phap Luat (Law) newspaper, Takahashi Hide, deputy general director of Japanese SETO company, was riding a bike with a Vietnamese worker riding pillion on Road No.4 towards Hoa Khanh commune on Dec. 31 afternoon when the accident took place.
His bike collided with a light truck from the opposite direction. Mr. Takahashi died on the spot while the Vietnamese workers, identified as Ha Thi Bich H., was severely injured.
The light truck fled after the crash. Police of Lien Chieu District arrest the driver an hour after the accident.
Investigations are going on.
SETO company, based in Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone, Lien Chieu Dist., Da Nang City, manufactures electronic components and wire harnesses used in home appliances, automotive and machine tools.
