Border guards in Vietnam's southern coast received 27 Vietnamese fishermen Wednesday night, more than one month after they were arrested in Indonesia for violating the country's waters.
The fishermen, 23 from Kien Giang Province in the Mekong Delta, three from Ba Ria-Vung Tau and one from Binh Thuan in the south central coast, returned to Vung Tau on one of their boats, Tuoi Tre reported.
Dau Van Dong of Binh Thuan was arrested in August last year while the others were detained more than a month ago.
All fishermen said they were treated well during their detention, that no one was mistreated in any way.
They have received a briefing by Vung Tau border officials about Vietnam's water borders.
The cases are being investigated further, local officials said.
