A 76-year-old Indian tourist died Tuesday of a heart attack at a hotel in the south central province of Khanh Hoa, online newspaper Dan Tri reported.
Gamesh Chandler Sharma was reportedly sleeping at an undisclosed hotel in the Hon Tam tourism area of Tam Island off the coast of Nha Trang Town, the capital of Khanh Hoa, at around 2 a.m., when he began having difficulty breathing and lost consciousness.
He was rushed to Khanh Hoa General Hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
An autopsy showed the man died due to cardiovascular problems.
His wife and son, who were accompanying him, said Sharma had history of heart attacks and had been treated previously at Tam Duc Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
His body will soon be repatriated to India.
