Violations in the construction of Da Nang General Hospital have caused damages worth nearly VND8 billion (US$410,466), local newspaper Tuoi Tre reported Monday.
According to inspectors, the investor People's Committee of the central city of Da Nang has delayed the progress of the project.
The project was launched in 2003 and was scheduled to be finished in 2007 but remains under construction, the news source said.
The investors also failed make proper plans to compensate people for site clearance, according to an investigation launched in June.
The inspectors said the investor had done incorrect surveys, and created dubious designs and estimates.
Previously Tuoi Tre reported that the project received a total investment of VND335 billion ($18.2 million), but due to slow progress and inflation, the investment has increased to more than VND410 billion ($21 million).
