A man lost part of an arm and was injured in the head Wednesday when a homemade bomb went off on a street in Vietnam's northern city of Hai Phong, VTC News reported.
Witnesses said that at around 2.30 p.m. Nguyen Minh Toan, 39, was walking along a road near his house when they suddenly heard an explosion.
They rushed him to a local hospital and informed the police.
The police found a nylon bag with a small packet inside suspected of containing explosive materials and a small object alleged to be a detonator.
Police are continuing with their investigation.
