Ho Chi Minh City authorities said they would fine a restaurant targeting foreign customers in the downtown area for several violations following a raid Saturday.
A team of inspectors stormed into Viva Restaurant on Nguyen Thai Binh Street in District 1 late at night and found dozens of women in revealing clothes entertaining foreign guests in karaoke rooms.
The women tried to flee as soon as they saw the inspectors.
The officials have documented various violations like unregistered karaoke services and lack of food safety certificates and labor contracts.
The restaurant is known for its young and attractive women employees and only accepts foreign customers, according to the media.
