State-owned Viwaco said the new rates for household customers will range between VND6,869 and VND18,318 (30.5-81.4 cents) a cubic meter, including value-added tax and environment protect fees.
The minimum price is applied for the first 10 cubic meters a family uses every month and the maximum prices for every cubic meter above 30.
Prices for public service providers and government offices will be raised to VND9,955 a cubic meter, manufacturers VND11,615 and other businesses VND22,068, including the tax and fee.
The new prices have been approved by the government.
