Police in Hanoi Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for three men who were suspected of shooting a woman to death in the capital's center last week.
According to initial information, Dong Cao Cuong, 28, Luu Quang Duc, 24, and Nguyen Manh, 22, together with some another young men attacked their debtor, 20-year-old Nguyen Thi Lien, last Thursday night.
Lien was in a taxi when the group started chasing her on their motorbikes, forcing the driver to stop on Xa Dan Street, Dong Da District.
One of them then shot Lien at her head before the group drove away.
Lien died on her way to a local hospital.
The taxi driver, whose identity wasn't revealed, was also injured, according to news website VnExpress, adding that police found the car's windows broken and its frontend heavily damaged.
They also found some bullets, a taser and a tear gas sprayer at the scene.
Police suspected that there were conflicts between Lien and her creditors.
So far, they have taken Nguyen Ngoc Anh, 20, into custody on suspicion of failing to "denouncing criminals."
Investigations into the case are still underway.
