A Hanoi man faces a fine for slapping an employee of budget carrier Vietjet after she told him he had to queue again in a different line to check in.
Lai Quang Trung, 39, had stood in line to check in to go to Nha Trang but when his turn came, he was told to stand in a different line, according to a report from the Noi Bai Airport security center.
He went to a Vietjet customers service counter to ask for an explanation and Le Thi Thai Ha, a worker there, also said he had to queue again.
Ha said Trung refused and demanded that she escorted him to the check-in counter. When she refused, he slapped her.
Trung first told security officials that it was just a “tap.”
But when questioned by the police later, he admitted he had lost his temper.
The police have drawn up charges, but it is not clear how much fine he would have to pay.
