The Furama Resort Da Nang has agreed to support nine orphans at the SOS Children's Village Da Nang until they become adults.

Each child will be supported with daily costs for their studies and entertainment, valuing VND850,000 (US$) per month.

The resort owner, Bac My An Resort Joint Stock Company, said it will also organize entertainment events for the children during the holidays.

Funding for the program comes from the Furama Resort's Charity Fund, which includes donations from tourists and the company's staff. The fund is used to support disadvantaged children, build charity houses and support other disadvantaged people.

The SOS Children's Village Da Nang is located 6 kilometers south east of Da Nang City, on the Le Van Hien Street, which connects the city with the ancient town of Hoi An.

It was opened in 1994 and has been home to more than 350 disadvantaged children so far.
