Malaysian police rescued four suspected victims of sexual exploitation on Saturday at a massage parlor in Bukit Tambun, a town located at the southern end of Penang.
Four Vietnamese and nine Thai women, aged 19 to 30, were taken into protective custody during the raid on the parlor at 9:15 pm, Malaysian news agency Bernama reported.
Police say the business was billed as a reflexology center to disguise its “immoral” activities, according to the report.
During the raid, police seized 17 condoms, including those hidden under mattresses used for reflexology.
Meanwhile police in George Town, the capital of Penang State, arrested six Vietnamese women aged between 23 and 30 early Sunday for allegedly offering sexual services at a flat in Jalan Perak.
The cases remain under investigation.
