Police in Hanoi Thursday said they have arrested four people for allegedly shooting three people in a taxi two days before.

At 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Le Van The, a 20-year-old taxi driver, drove four young people to the Minh Khai Industrial Zone in Tu Liem District, according to initial information.

Three people on a motorbike shot at the car's right back door, injuring The and two passengers, police said, adding that the car crashed into a tree and was destroyed.

Police said initial findings showed that two groups of young people had a conflict when they were drinking at a tavern in Minh Khai Commune Monday.

They set a date to solve the conflict at the industrial park.

However, the four people, who went together with their friends in two other taxis, were attacked on their way.

So far the identities of the suspects were yet to be revealed.

Police said they are investigating the case.
