Hanoi police arrested Saturday four young men who used fake credit cards to buy around 300 air tickets and sold them for much less that the original price.
The four men are: Duong Van Bach, the 21-year-old director of F8 Upload Limited Company, and three employees Nguyen Ngoc Khanh and Nguyen Anh Tu, both 23, and Nguyen Anh Hung, 21.
According to police, in June this year, Bach paid US$2 to have the account number and other information of a credit card holder at a website where stolen credit card information is sold.
He then used the account to book online return tickets from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City on Vietnam Airlines.
Later, he and the three accomplices bought a printer to make fake credit cards and used them to buy more tickets on domestic flights. These tickets were sold to other people for half the actual price.
Between August and December, they sold around 300 tickets, police said.
