Five Vietnamese gamblers were injured when a casino collapsed last Saturday in Cambodia's Kampot Province that borders Vietnam.

The roof of "Casino Sunday" collapsed suddenly when the gamblers were playing cards. No fatalities were reported.

Five Vietnamese people, whose identities were not revealed, sustained injuries in their head, shoulders and arms. They were taken to the Ha Tien Town General Hospital in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

The roof fell down because of a technical error.

Since the Cambodian casino opened early this year, it has attracted hundreds of Vietnamese gamblers from the Mekong Delta region every day as it is only 500 meters away from the Ha Tien Border Gate.

A number of Vietnamese nationals have gone bankrupt after gambling at this casino, locals told Thanh Nien.
