Dak Lak police Friday arrested a drunken man who ran across an airport runway while a plane was about to take off, the Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.

Luong Van Man, 30, dashed across the Buon Ma Thuot Airport runway in the Central Highlands, right in front of a Vietnam Airlines' Airbus A321 at around 6:20 p.m.

After the cabin crew spotted him, the pilot stopped the plane and reported the incident to airport security officers.
