At least two people were dead and three others injured after a container truck crashed into some cars and motorbikes on a national highway in the northern province of Hai Duong on Monday.
The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. when the truck traveling from Hanoi to Hai Phong City plunged into the opposite lane and hit a series of cars and motorbikes on National Highway 5 through Hai Duong’s Cam Giang District.
The truck driver seemed to have lost control of the vehicle, according to eyewitnesses.

Three cars, including a four-seater Honda Civic and a military-registered car, a motorbike and a wheelchair were hardest hit.
Nguyen Thi Hoan, 54, and her husband Vu Van Thang, also 54, who were inside the Honda Civic, died on the way to hospital, according to Hai Duong Newspaper.
Their daughter Nguyen Thi Minh Hang was seriously injured. She is reportedly in critical condition.
The accident caused a three-hour traffic gridlock on the highway.
Details about the truck’s driver were not known.
Local police are still investigating the accident.
