Car accident kills four in southern Vietnam

Four people died when a car crashed into a garage and then an electricity post in the southern province of Binh Duong on Tuesday.


The four-seater car, driven by Nguyen Long Van, crashed into Thuan Phat Garage on National Way No.13 in Thoi Hoa Commune at 12 p.m., killing Le Van Binh, 28, and Nguyen Hong Huynh, 29, instantly, Binh Duong police said.


It then crashed into an electricity post and only stopped after it had pushed the post 10 meters, according to police.


Van, 29, and his father Nguyen Van Hung, vice chairman of Tan Dinh Commune's People's Committee, died on the spot, they said.


Binh's daughter, three-year-old Le Pham Thi Nga, came away from the accident with injuries.


Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
