Thirteen passengers injured when their sleeper bus flipped over on a highway in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong Monday, allegedly because of the slippery road surface after the rain.
The Phuong Trang Company bus, en route to Ho Chi Minh City, apparently lost control after passing a muddy turn on the 19-kilometer highway that connects Lien Khuong Airport and Prenn mountain pass at midnight.
It then hit the road separator and a utility poll and slid for another 100 meters before overturning.
Thirteen people aboard, including the driver, were rushed to Lam Dong General Hospital with injuries, while the vehicle was seriously damaged.
Four of the victims were discharged later.
Three crane trucks were mobilized to clear the scene.
The bus flipped just a few meters away from the location where an hour before that a seven-seat car crashed into a mountain clip along the highway, also after passing the muddy turn.
The car accident’s casualties were unclear.
