A 29-seat bus caught on fire in Hanoi Sunday, allegedly caused by electrical leakage, VnExpress reported.
According to the newswire, more than 10 passengers and a driver were in a Ha Tay Passenger Bus Co. bus when the fire broke out, but they all managed to escape without injuries. The bus was going from Ha Dong to Huong Son districts.
A representative from the company was quoted as saying that the fire was sparked by an electrical leakage, but the company is still waiting for more detailed conclusions from police.
The representative said the bus, made in China, was bought in 2007 and has been operating well since then without no fault.
The cause is being investigated.
That same day, a Mercedes 300E also caught on fire in the capital.
The fire's cause has yet to be identified, making it the fifth case in which vehicles caught fire without obvious reasons in Hanoi. Four others were motorbikes.
