Fifteen passengers, most of them Vietnamese tourists, were injured when their bus collided with a container truck in Cambodia Thursday.
A Cambodia bus driver assistant wad killed in the accident. Of those who were injured, three Vietnamese tourists and the Cambodian tour guide whose conditions were more dire were transferred to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City later the same day.
The bus of Ho Chi Minh City-based Thanh Thanh Travel Company was carrying the employees of Loc Ninh Rubber Company in Binh Phuoc Province to Cambodia for a vacation tour.
It collided with the Cambodian truck from the opposite direction at around 8.30 a.m. in Kratie Province, about 3 km from the border.
The tour guide, Chheang Mony, said he was presenting the landscape to the passengers when he heard a loud noise and passed out immediately.
Cambodian authorities are still investigating the accident.
