Briton falls to death from hostel 4th floor in HCMC backpacker area

A 33-year-old foreigner died after he allegedly fell from a fourth floor balcony of a hostel in the backpacker area of Vietnam's metro Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, local police said.
The man was identified as British national Matthew Ian Avis, who was staying in a hostel in Alley 283 Pham Ngu Lao St, Dist. 1, according to the police.
According to the police, the man was drinking beer on the fourth floor balcony of the hostel early on Monday when he accidentally fell and died immediately.
