The bodies of two children were found at a rock excavation site in the northern province of Lai Chau on Saturday, four days after they were reported missing.
The body of 7-year-old Sung Pao Co, showed up in the middle of stones dumped by a truck on National Highway 4D.
As the stone was identified as having been brought from the excavation site of Luong Viet, Ltd., the site was investigated, and after two hours of digging, the body of Giang A Thu, 11, was found.
The children's families said the boys did not return home on Tuesday night and they reported to the police that they'd gone missing.
Initial investigations showed that the boys had entered the excavation site around 500 meters from their homes, and were buried by falling rocks.
Local authorities said they have already warned local families to keep children away from the site. Luong Viet Company has given the families ex-gratia payments of VND2.5 million (US$128) each.
