A 11-year-old boy died of bee stings in the central province of Quang Tri Friday following an attack five days earlier that already killed a 2-year-old.

Ho Van Chung died after being stung more than 300 times, news website VietNamNet reported. Ho Van Vin had died a day after the attack on August 26.

The boys were walking behind a bulldozer which hit an underground beehive and set off the attack.

They became unconscious and suffered from multiple organ declines when admitted to the Hue Central Hospital.

The hospital's Dr Tran Kiem Hao said Chung was "heavily poisoned" and his condition worsened since admission.

Two other boys, Ho Van Vui, 5, and Ho Van Van, 2, have recovered since they were stung fewer times.

Nothing is known about the owner of the bulldozer or if the boys's families would receive any compensation.
