Police in Hanoi on Wednesday arrested a killer involved in a bar fight earlier the same day, thanks to clues from the bar camera.
Nguyen Van Hoa, 19, was killed during a fight at the Sheraton Hotel at nearly 1 a.m. Wednesday, news website VietNamNet reported.
Hoa was stabbed by 18-year-old Hoang Van Tuan when trying to stop Tuan from attacking his friend.
Eyewitnesses reported the fight, and the camera helped to identify people involved. Tuan was arrested at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigations showed that Hoa and eight other friends had left the bar, all drunk, as Tuan's gang arrived.
Nguyen Duy Manh, an 18-year-old member in Hoa's gang, did not like the look of Tuan and suggested his gang beat Tuan.
During the fight, Tuan withdrew a clasp knife and cut Manh's arm.
Hoa tried to save his friend and received a fatal stab.
