Police in Ho Chi Minh City are looking into the death of an Australian tourist, who reportedly fell from the second floor of a five-star hotel on Sunday.
According to local media reports, guests and a security guard said they heard a loud thud outside the Grand Hotel on Dong Khoi Street in District 1 at around 11 a.m.
Walking outside, they saw the man on the ground. The tourist, in his sixties, allegedly fell from his room’s balcony on the second floor.
Police have not disclosed his identity but confirmed that he was from Australia.
The investigation continues.
Update: The police on Monday identified the man as Andrew Keating, 77.
