At least 5 killed in Vietnam highway crash

At least five people, including one foreigner, died after a bus carrying 13 passengers collided with a water tanker on an expressway between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta on Wednesday morning.
Initial information from Tien Giang Province's police is that the accident happened at around 9:30 a.m. when a bus belonging to the Thao Chau Company hit a tanker watering trees along the HCMC-Trung Luong Expressway.
The 30-seat bus was heading to Ho Chi Minh City from Ben Tre Province
The collision totaled the bus, killing five people, including a 50-year-old French man and the bus's driver.
Nine other passengers, including a French woman, were injured and remained trapped in the wreckage for some 30 minutes before locals managed to pull them out.
No further details are immediately available.
