Angry man stabs motorist, traffic cop on Hanoi street

A wounded traffic policemen and a group of good samaritans managed to arrest a man as he brutally attacked a commuter over a minor traffic accident in Hanoi on Tuesday. 
His accomplice remains at large.

Nguyen Manh Hung,27, was riding as a passenger on his friend Tran Minh Thuy’s Honda Wave motorbike when they collided with a motorist driving a Honda Click near the intersection of Nguyen Trai and Khuat Duy Tien streets.

Hung and Thuy, 26, began to argue with Nguyen Manh Ha, the driver of the Click, when traffic policeman Vo Minh Hieu stepped off his post near the intersection and told Ha to drive on.

A ways down the road, the pair pulled up alongside the Click driver. After forcing Ha to stop, Hung drew two chef's knives and began stabbing him continuously.

Officer Hieu ran to Ha's aid and was stabbed in the face and left shoulder.

With the help of a crowd of good samaritans the officer managed to subdue Hung and escort him to a nearby police station.

Thuy fled the scene on his Wave.

Hieu and Ha were rushed to the hospital to be treated for their wounds.
