Can Tho police on Thursday returned to an American tourist all his belongings which had been stolen from him during a trip to the southern city.
Police arrested Phan Tan Phu, a 21-year old student, on Tuesday at his home in Ho Chi Minh City.
They said Phu met the foreign man online and the two traveled to Can Tho together on December 18.
When the foreigner went out for a walk, Phu allegedly stole all of his belongings worth around $3,200, including a phone, three tablets and $70. He then left the hotel.
