The Supreme People's Court of Quang Nam has signed a decision to remove a district judge from his post.
Pham Cong Bang used to serve as chief judge of Phu Ninh District People’s Court in central Quang Nam Province and strip his legal title, the provincial People’s Court said yesterday.
Police investigations proved Bang guilty of asking for a bribe in 2007 in a civil lawsuit concerning a timber purchase.
Bang was originally suspended on October 13 after a taped conversation revealed he had requested a bribe from a complainant to sway the court verdict.
