A car crashed into five motorbikes and a bicycle, wounding eight people in Bien Hoa Town on Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses said a young man who drove the car fled the scene immediately. He was yet to be identified and located.
According to witnesses, the car was heading to Bien Hoa downtown when it suddenly got out of control, crashed through the road divider railing and collided with two motorbikes in the opposite lane.
It went on to hit another three motorbikes and one bicycle that were being park on the sidewalk.
Eight victims were rushed to a hospital, and it took local agencies nearly two hours to clear traffic congestion around the site.
Investigation into the case continues.
