Vietnam Airlines has returned a luxury mobile phone worth around US$50,000 to a passenger who reported to have lost it on a flight last month, a spokesperson for the carrier said Sunday.
A team of technical workers from the Vietnam Airline Engineering Company, who were maintaining an aircraft, found the Nokia 8800 Diamond Arte with 112 diamonds on its surface inside a Seat Electronic Box, which is installed under the passenger seat on airplanes.
It belongs to a passenger who had last month reported the loss of the phone upon landing in France after flying from Vietnam.
It is not known how the phone fell into the closed box under the seat.
