Thirty five Ho Chi Minh City firefighters are still in hospital a week after 50 of them were injured during a mission.
After a fire broke out at a candy factory in Binh Tan District on December 9, 73 firefighters and 10 trucks arrived at the scene to put it out.
The factory also extracts oil from cashew nuts, which fed the fire.
Unfortunately for the men, some of the oil seeped into their boots and clothes, causing many of them to be burned.
Le Tan Buu, deputy director of the city Fire Fighting Department, told Thanh Nien that the injury to the personnel was the worst in many years.
