4 more subversives arrested in central Vietnam

Police in the central Vietnamese province of Phu Yen arrested Sunday four more members of a subversive organization that was broken up last week.

They said Vuong Tan Son, 59, Tran Phi Dung, and Doan Van Cuong, both 46, and Tran Quan, 28, would be investigated along with 10 others who were arrested earlier.

The organization was led by 64-year-old Tran Cong.

Cong, real name Phan Van Thu, owned Hoang Long Company, which ran the Huynh Long ecology tourist area in Dong Hoa District the group's base.

The group's membership, including overseas Vietnamese, topped 300, and it had a presence in every province and city, and sought to overthrow the government, according to the police.
