4 killed, 3 injured in car crash on northern Vietnam highway

Four people died and three others were injured after two cars collided head-on on a national highway in the northern province of Ha Giang on Monday.
At 8 p.m. the car driven by Tran Van Thao, 51, crashed into the car driven by Chu Van Vien, 28, which was traveling in the opposite direction on National Highway 2 through Ha Giang’s Vi Xuyen District.
The first car overturned after the crash. Thao, his 23-year-old son Tran Le Nam, and two relatives died on the spot.
Three men on the second car aged 44, 46, and 51 were seriously injured.
Both cars were damaged following the crash.
Local authorities are investigating.
