Four men in central Vietnam were fined a total of VND6 million for killing two wild weasels after some photos of the slaughtering posted on their Facebook pages caught the authorities' attention.
The photos, posted on Sep. 11, stirred an outcry which prompted the police of Duy Son Commune, Quang Nam Province, to track down the men in to photos and identified them as Duong Cong Ly, 25, and Pham Thanh Truong, 24.
Further investigation revealed that the duo was hired by Ho Phuoc Hiep, 31, and Nguyen Ry, 44, to find and kill the weasels, which Hiep and Ry claimed had hunted ducks in their farms.
They said they laid traps around the duck farms to catch the weasels, and killed them after that.
