Four construction workers were killed and another was critically injured Tuesday when a wall they were building collapsed reportedly due to a storm in the southern province of Binh Duong.
The injured man, Phan Van Vuong, 36, said he and the four others were cementing the wall when the accident happened.
The four died on the spot, while Vuong survived because he was standing further away from the wall than them.
He was buried up to his waist and screamed for help, and was rescued by people working nearby, Vuong said.
He said there was a strong wind when the accident happened.
The wall has been built for a factory belonging to the Taiwanese-owned Chyang Sheng VN in Thuan An town.
Local authorities are investigating.
A report on Tuoi Tre quoted Do Thanh Tam, chairman of the town People's Committee, as saying that the police are investigating and would file criminal charges if needed.
