A Vietnam War era 360-kilogram bomb was found in central Vietnam on Tuesday and safely defused.
The bomb was found around 2 meters underground by workers of a drainage system along the Bao Ninh beach in Quang Binh Province, news website Dan Tri said.
Military forces defused the bomb.
The bomb has been identified as a US-made one, more than 1 meter long and containing around 170 kilograms of dynamite.
Unexploded ordnance cast by the US military during the Viet War remains a serious problem in central Vietnam, where many people have been killed either by accidentially hit the bombs or trying to process them to sell the metal to scrap dealers.
