Three construction workers fell to their death from the 11th floor in northern Vietnam Tuesday after the scaffolding they were standing on collapsed.
The workers, aged 19, 26 and 47, were plastering the outside of a 12-story hotel in Lang Son Province at a height of around 40 meters.
People rushed to the scene but could not save them.
Hoang Thi Le, an official in charge of work safety at the Lang Son labor department, told news website VnExpress, “The scaffolding was not firm.”
The frame was just wood panels attached to the building and there was no protective net.
